PETROS’ Petroleum Guidelines (PPG version 1.0) brings together the policies and requirements of Sarawak for its Onshore oil and gas industry into a concise and complete set of guidelines. It serves as the guiding document for PETROS in managing Sarawak’s oil & gas resources and regulating its Upstream activities sustainably, in conjunction with Petroleum Contracts, within the hierarchy of PETROS’ Corporate Management System (CMS).
As a fit-for-purpose document, PPG consists of 10 volumes, covering the full upstream oil & gas industry phases, from investing, through to exploration, drilling, developing, producing, and finally abandonment. PPG had been written in alignment with PETROS’ own Corporate Management System and its expectations and aims to fulfil PETROS’ requirements on accountability, governance and compliance.
The Purpose of PPG
The purpose of PPG is to provide guidance for a Petroleum Contractor operating in the upstream onshore industry in Sarawak, while allowing the contractor/operator to be more autonomous, risk-based while encouraging fit-for-purpose solutions and innovation in its operations.
