
SIGNING OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE REVISED TOTAL NATURAL GAS SUPPLY TO THE STATE OF SARAWAK FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECTS UNDER
SARAWAK GAS ROADMAP

PETROS and PETRONAS inked an understanding for a revised total natural gas supply of up to 1200 mmscf/d to support the implementation of the Sarawak Gas Roadmap (SGR), an over 250% increase from 450 mmscf/d committed since 2016. The milestone marks firm progress towards the SGR, and delivers on our purpose, to Harness Our Resources for Sustainable Progress of Sarawak.
The understanding marks firm progress towards the State’s Sarawak Gas Roadmap where implementation of identified projects are now able to access gas supply of up to 1200 mmscf/d by 2030. This is a step change achievement – a supply increase of over 250%, (in) Securing Sarawak’s Resources for Sarawak’s Progress," said Guest of Honour, The Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg - Chief Minister of Sarawak, in his officiating speech.
The MoU was signed by PETROS Group Chief Executive Officer - Datuk Sauu Kakok, witnessed by Chairman of PETROS - Tan Sri Datuk Amar (Dr.) Hamid bin Bugo and PETRONAS' Executive Vice President & CEO Upstream - Adif Zulkifli, witnessed by Ir. M Firouz B Asnan, Senior Vice President Malaysia Petroleum Management.
